was born out of a personal story—a story of salvation, reconciliation, healing, and a new beginning through Jesus Christ.

Sultan Assawahri


Founder and Director

Sultan Assawahri grew up in Jordan in a Muslim Palestinian family, and a personal encounter with Jesus Christ radically transformed his life and set him on a new path of faith. After fleeing to Switzerland, he studied theology and began accompanying people who are seeking hope, healing, and reconciliation. With great passion, he is dedicated to building bridges between cultures, nations, and generations, encouraging people to live in unity, love, and peace.

He also serves as a member of the board of the Swiss Evangelical Alliance (SEA) and as a part-time pastor in a local church.

Bernhard Mössner


Chairman

Bernhard Mössner is the Chairman of Peace Makers Catalyst and has been part of the organization since its foundation.

He is also the founder of the House of Prayer Basel and part of its leadership team. In addition, he serves on the board of the Evangelical Alliance Basel-Stadt and is widely connected across various ministries and networks. Together with his wife Claudia, he lives out his calling to lead people into the presence of God and to create spaces where prayer, fellowship, and practical help come together.

Oliver Marti

Vice Chair and Treasurer

As a theologian and businessman with a heart for mission and Christian projects, he ensures transparency, stability, and the sustainable development of the organization.

Heiner Studer

Heiner Studer is a Swiss politician and Christian leader who served as a member of the National Council from 1999 to 2007 and as president of the Evangelical People’s Party of Switzerland from 2008 to 2014.

His commitment focuses on connecting faith, society, and politics. He has held various political and church offices and serves as a lay preacher.

Heiner has been part of Peacemakers Catalyst since its founding and continues to contribute his experience and expertise to the board.

S.A.

S.A., M.D., experienced a spiritual calling, was ordained as a pastor in the USA, and has since been serving in international ministries focused on prayer and pastoral care. He currently lives in Europe with his family and works with BNI.


We bring hope by:

  • Sharing the Gospel through personal testimonies and preaching.
  • Accompanying people – in prisons, churches, among refugees, and in crisis areas.
  • Encouraging and supporting Peace Makers to become bearers of hope themselves.
  • Inspiring churches and young people to live their faith with courage and authenticity.
  • Building bridges between cultures, nations, and generations.
  • Promoting unity among Christians, Jews, and Arabs – as one family of God.
